New Ferris IS 2500Z Touts Diesel Power in Small Frame Unit

Munnsville, N.Y. – Smaller-frame zero-turn units powered by diesel fuel are gaining popularity in both the United States and Europe. So to meet the needs of its commercial and municipal customers, Ferris is introducing its newest zero-turn mower, the IS 2500Z diesel.
    Built to out-last and out-perform competitive units, the IS 2500Z boasts a 20-hp Yanmar three-cylinder, in-line diesel engine with cast iron block. Rugged 52-inch iCD mowing decks features long-lasting greasable aluminum spindles.  
    “When combined with the benefits of Ferris’ patented four-wheel suspension system, there is not another product in its class that matches the value of the IS 2500Z diesel,” says Bill Shea, vice president of sales and marketing, commercial products, for the Briggs & Stratton Yard Power Products Group. “Our 4-wheel, coil-over-shock suspension and the new iCD™ Cutting System dramatically increases quality of cut over competitive fixed frame units,” he comments.
