Mahindra Tractor Sales Rise 19% April-December 2011

(Mumbai) January 2, 2012 — Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the U.S. $12.5 billion Mahindra Group, reports that its domestic sale of tractors in December 2011 stood at 15,315 units, vs. 15,135 units during December 2010. Total tractor sales (domestic + exports) in December 2011 stood at 16,389 units, as against 16,334 units for the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at 1,074 units.

For the period April to December 2011, total cumulative sales stood at 18,3274 units, as compared to 15,4265 units for the same period last year, an increase of 19%.
