Cory Hayes Joins Southwestwestern Assn. Staff

The SouthWestern Assn. has announced the recent addition to their staff of Cory D. Hayes who will become the association's director of education.

Hayes will officially join SouthWestern Association on Tuesday, Sept. 15. He was previously with a well-known industry training firm for 7 years as the business development and program manager. He earned degrees from Hawkeye Institute of Technology, Waterloo, Iowa, and has an extensive business background including bank management, financial consulting, sales and marketing.

Hayes will have an overall objective to assist SWA members with recruitment, retention and training of quality employees, initially through these activities:

• SWA Online Campus: Program development, dealer and employee meetings, and liaison to campus subscribers to assist with implementation and curriculum development;

• SWA staff liaison with AgCareers.com;

• SWA staff liaison with Agriculture Future of America;

• Assist OSU Institute of Technology staff in recruiting and implementation of the Technician Training Program; and

• Educational programming and seminars.

Hayes will be available to meet and talk with SouthWestern members about employee education and training needs.
