Larsgaard Named President/CEO Of North Dakota Implement Dealers Association

The North Dakota Implement Dealers Association (NDIDA) has named Matthew Larsgaard president/CEO of the association. He was also named president of the Automobile Dealers Association of North Dakota (ADAND). He became president/CEO of the two jointly managed organizations after the previous president/CEO, Robert (Bob) Lamp, retired June 30, 2010, after more than 30 years in the equipment industry.

Larsgaard grew up on a farm near Northwood, N.D. He attended Mayville State College, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree with double majors in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems. He was the Inventory Control Manager for a North Dakota heavy truck dealership before beginning a 12-month tour of duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom as part of his nine year career in the North Dakota Army National Guard. While in the military, he served as a construction engineer, an electrician and a military policeman, as well as in various leadership capacities. Following his tour of duty in Iraq, he began work on a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of North Dakota and graduated in December 2006.

As president/CEO, Larsgaard is responsible for overall corporate management of NDIDA and ADAND, including dealer, industry, and government relations and long-range strategic planning. In addition, he will serve as president/CEO of the two associations’ for-profit subsidiary, Association Services Inc. (ASI), and administrative manager of the North Dakota Automobile and Implement Dealers associations’ Health Care Trust.

NDIDA and ADAND have been jointly managed for more than 60 years and are headquartered in Fargo, N.D.
