New OPE Dealership Opens in N.C.

Alamance Outdoor Equipment has opened for business in a vacant building in North Carolina, the Times-News of Burlington, N.C. reports.

Alamance sells and repairs mowers, string trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, spreaders and other equipment and sells accessories.

Brothers Harold and Larry Proctor opened the business at 250 N. Church St. in Burlington in the old Jeffreys Paint and Paper Building March 1. The business is a subsidiary of their Proctor Equipment Inc. based in Greensboro.

Brands sold at the dealership include Kawasaki, Echo, Husqvarna, Toro and Walker.

Larry Proctor says he’s been able to hire six new employees who were unemployed and will hire another at the end of the month.
