Rural Lifestyle Dealership Celebrating its First Year

RADFORD, Va. (April 28, 2010) — Celebrating its first year in business in is Southwest Outdoor Power Equipment, Main Street Radford’s Business of the month for April.
Owned by Randy Campbell, who moved 
to the New River Valley in 2006, after owned his own lawn care business in Kentucky for seven years. He first started out at TMD Friction located in Dublin, Va. as a quality manager making brake pads for Ford, GM, and Chrysler.
When the plant began downsizing last year, Randy decided to strike out on his own once again and open Southwest Outdoor Power Equipment, which sells lawnmowers, tractors, chain saws, weed-eaters and more and they specialize in brands like Snapper, Alice Chalmers, and Hustler.
Recently, Randy expanded the showroom from 2,800 square feet to 5,300 square feet to accomodate new brands he took on, including Stihl, Snapper Pro and NXT riding lawn mowers.
