AGCO: Utility Tractors Best Bet

AGCO dealers say utility tractors are the best bet for maintaining or increasing unit

sales for 2010. Nearly 95% expect to accomplish that this year, with about half saying sales will go up 2% or more.

The outlook for zero-turn mowers is nearly as bright, with 51% of AGCO dealers expecting sales to increase 2% or more, and 88.3% expecting to maintain or increase unit sales.

Prospects aren’t as good for UTVs, with only 27.5% expecting measurable growth of 2% or more in unit sales.

Dealers appear pessimistic about lawn tractor sales, with about 69% expecting little or no growth in unit sales in 2010, and 15.6% expecting a drop of 8% or more.
