According to a July 6 announcement from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Husqvarna has recalled about 2,700 (plus 4,400 in Canada) Residential 300 Series Snow Blowers. The announcement lists the hazard as, "The recalled 300 series snow blowers unexpectedly go into drive mode and collide with a consumer, posing an injury hazard."

The recall states, "The firm has received 22 reports where the auger pulley bolt loosened and the drive unexpectedly became engaged. No injuries have been reported."
