A.C. McCartney Farm Equipment Inc., a northern Illinois agriculture equipment dealer, has purchased Kuhns Equipment Co.’s Mount Sterling Massey Ferguson dealership.
The purchase, effective Nov. 1, will add a fourth dealership under the A.C. McCartney umbrella.
Established in 1950 by Allen McCartney, A.C. McCartney is a Durand-based family-owned-and-operated company providing agriculture and consumer equipment sales and service. In addition to its Durand location, A.C. McCartney also operates dealerships in Wataga and Carthage.
Kuhns Equipment Co., founded in 1956 by Abe Kuhns, will continue to operate its dealerships in Gibson City and Arthur.
