The Daugherty Companies, Inc. announced the acquisition of the assets of Alliance Group Technologies Co.- Kokomo, Inc.  Alliance is a 20-year-old ISO9001:2008 registered contract manufacturer near Peru, Ind.

Alliance manufacturers specialized electronic products including quick-turn production level circuit boards, box builds and custom test equipment. The company also provides value added services such as custom cables and harnesses plus repairing and re-working electronic assemblies.

David L. Daugherty, president of The Daugherty Companies said that Alliance provides a nice fit with the agricultural wiring harness production carried out at their Warren facility. “As agricultural equipment moves toward more electronic controls and wireless technology, it is only fitting that we expand into the electronic manufacturing business.”

The Peru production facility, renamed Alliance Group Technologies, Division of The Daugherty Companies, Inc. will remain in the same location with key employees continuing to work for the new company.

Although it will be a new corporate entity, Daugherty explained, “It is important that we continue to serve the existing Alliance customer base while exploring new potential in agricultural and other markets. This move will bring new opportunities to our Warren facility as well since many of the current Alliance customers are users of specialty wiring harnesses."

The Daugherty Companies, founded in 1939 as Warren Farm Supply, a J.I. Case dealership, has served many facets of the agricultural community as a dealer, a distributor and a manufacturer of quality short line products.  They have worked with agricultural electronics for over forty-two years and currently specialize in GPS and other precision ag related products.  Employment during peak seasons at Warren is over 40 persons.

“We are excited about the new dimension Alliance brings to our company and our employees,” said Daugherty.
