Electric tractor manufacturer Solectrac has been evicted from its Santa Rosa, Calif., location and owes $65,223 in back rent, according to an April 8 report from The North Bay Business Journal. The property owners confirmed they will auction off Solectrac's belongings.

Solectrac announced March 27 plans to prioritize “direct-to-consumer sales and partnering with select dealers in key markets.” The company said it was  refocusing efforts previously placed on expanding its dealer network.

In a separate March 29 report, Robin Mackie, Solectrac's interim CEO told The North Bay Business Journal that the company's plan to use a national dealer network "didn't work. Management didn't support the dealers."

“It’s been a mess. We have to reduce costs and restructure. It’s been difficult to raise capital,” Mackie said.
