The outdoor power equipment (OPE) market reported a year-over-year revenue increase in 2024, despite notable fluctuations across months and regions, according to Constellation Dealership Software’s latest market update.
The report analyzed sales data from 1,153 dealerships, representing $5 billion in total sales and over 2 million new whole goods sold in 2024. While January started flat, revenue climbed steadily through the spring, peaking with a 10% increase in April compared to the previous year. However, a decline set in by late summer, with September posting an 11% year-over-year drop, marking the sharpest decline of the year.
Reviewing tractor market data from Constellation Data Solutions’ December report, issued Jan. 15, tractor dealers in the U.S. and Canada experienced a combined revenue increase of 36% in December, with 6% in U.S. and 30% from Canadian tractor dealers.

In the U.S., tractor dealer revenue increased 6% in December, similar to February, where the United States experienced 5% revenue growth from February to March.
The steepest declines were reported in the data coming in from Canada, where tractor dealer revenue increased 30% in December, after seeing declines in October to November at -15% to -16%.
