Lymow recently unveiled the Lymow One, a new robotic lawn mower designed to tackle large and complex lawns. Set for release in April 2025, the mower aims to replace traditional mowers with its new features and capabilities, according to the company.

With advanced RTK-VSLAM combined navigation and smart object detection, it aims to provide precise mowing, and its safety features are designed to offer an efficient and reliable mowing experience for homeowners, according to the company and as reported by Landscape Management.

“Most robotic mowers today are built for small yards, but many U.S. homes have large, complex lawns. As a result, these mowers often serve as a supplement rather than a true replacement for traditional mowers,” said Wangshu Gao, founder and CEO of Lymow in the Jan. 15 Landscape Management news update published online. Gao added, “With Lymow One, we’re taking a different approach. Our product is designed to fully replace traditional mowers, delivering superior automated lawn care — better results, less time, lower costs and minimal effort.”

Key features of the Lymow One include its LyCut Dual Blade Mowing Deck, featuring two high-speed spinning mulching blades powered by a 1,200W brushless motor. It offers 6,000 RPM blade speed with a 16-inch cutting width and an adjustable cutting height from 1.2 to 4 inches. Additional product features are: LySee Multi-Fusion Navigation System combining RTK satellite positioning and VSLAM technology; Obstacle Avoidance with a stereo camera with semantic recognition and depth-sensing capabilities, as well as 5 ultrasonic sensors, front bumpers and off-ground sensors; Tracked Tread Propulsion, which covers up to 0.23 acres per hour and 1.73 acres per day and navigates 45 degrees (100 percent) slopes and 2-inch obstacles. The company added that it is designed to handle rough, uneven terrain and clear obstacles up to 2 inches in height.

According to the report, the Lymow One features a die-cast aluminum alloy frame, LiFePO4 battery for extended lifespan and IPX6 waterproof rating for all-weather operation. The company, founded in 2022, notes that after a Kickstarter campaign that raised more than $3.5 million, Lymow One is now in production and slated for delivery in April 2025.
