Approximately 2,200 Exmark riding mowers that were made in Nebraska are being recalled because a part could fail and cause a crash.

Exmark says it has received 18 reports of problems with its Quest 42-inch ZRT riding mowers, but no injuries have been reported.

Exmark says bearings that support the mower deck could fail and interfere with the operator's controls.

The recall covers mowers made in 2009 and 2010 with serial numbers between 790,000 and 860,652. The red and grey mowers have the model number: QST20BE422.

The mowers were sold nationwide for between $4,200 and $4,400. Consumers should contact an Exmark dealer to schedule a free repair.

Exmark is a division of Bloomington, Minn.-based Toro, and it makes mowers at its Beatrice, Neb., plant.
