Hawker Beechcraft Corp. has been in talks with numerous potential buyers as it plans its way out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

And according to a report from Bloomberg, it appears Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. of India can be added to the speculative list of potential bidders.

The utility vehicle manufacturer in 2009 purchased majority stakes in aerospace supplier Aerostaff Australia and turboprop manufacturer Gippsland Aeronautics.

The unnamed source that told Bloomberg of Mahindra’s interest, however, also said the company has not yet made an offer.

Hawker last week filed its restructuring plan with the bankruptcy court, paperwork which revealed the company’s aggressive marketing of itself to potential buyers.

The company has received eight bids and asked for revised bids from six of those entities.
