A new company, Avant Tecno USA, opened its doors in Elk Grove Village, Ill., in May 2012. In October, the compact loaders will be demonstrated at the GIE+Expo in Louisville, Ky.

Avant loaders are different than most of the current loaders on the market due to their articulated design and hydrostatic 4-wheel drive. The articulated steering makes it agile and easy to handle, fitting into tight spaces. Its ability to turn tight circles without damaging grass makes the Avant loader appealing to those in landscaping and grounds maintenance. The modern design of these machines offers superior visibility in all directions, easy one-step entry and exit from the cab, and a telescopic boom that provides more reach and accurate handling of loads.

In addition, Avant offers more than 100 attachments, making one machine able to do the work of several different machines. The attachments are easy to attach and change, and meet the needs of people in several industries, including landscaping, construction, grounds maintenance, farming and horse stables, nurseries, and municipalities. One machine can serve as a snowplow, a lawn mower, a leaf collector, a forklift, backhoe, and much more.

Jukka Lyly-Yrjanainen, president of Avant Tecno USA, is originally from Finland, which is where Avant’s parent company, Avant Tecno Corporation, is based. “We’re excited to bring these machines to North America because they offer a more versatile choice for companies who need machines to do a variety of tasks,” Lyly-Yrjanainen said.

Avant machines were previously sold in the U.S. under the Gehl brand. People who purchased the machines back then are still using them, and are excited to add the newer model to their equipment supply. Now, being established in the U.S., Avant is committed to providing cutting edge compact loaders, as well as full support through Avant and its growing dealer network.

“The use of modern hydraulics makes Avant compact loaders strong and durable, while remaining a light and agile machine,” Lyly-Yrjanainen added.

People in the green industry are getting a chance to see the machines up close and in action at the GIE+Expo in October. There are several videos on the Avant USA YouTube channel that show the machines in action with a variety of attachments.
