ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Equipment Dealers Assn. (EDA) announces the release of its 2019 Dealer-Manufacturer Relations Survey Report, an annual endeavor that provides agriculture and outdoor power equipment dealers the opportunity to anonymously rate the manufacturer lines they carry.

Dealers can rate their manufacturers in 11 key business categories, such as product quality, availability and technical support; parts availability, quality and return policy; communication, warranty and marketing/advertising support, as well as providing a separate rating for overall satisfaction.

This year, more than 2,500 individual dealer contacts participated in the survey, up 13% from 2,224 last year. Manufacturers received a total of 9,087 individual ratings — up from 8,800 from the 2018 survey. Responses came from all 50 U.S. states and 10 Canadian provinces. A complimentary copy of the report has already been sent to the EDA’s Dealer Members as well as the manufacturers who received enough ratings to be included in the report. Manufacturer members of EDA are eligible to receive additional statistics not available in the basic report as well as their dealer comments. Dealers who are not members of EDA can purchase a copy of the report here.

“We are excited to see the increase in participation this year”, said Kim Rominger, President & CEO of EDA. “One of EDA’s primary responsibilities is helping to cultivate a positive business relationship between manufacturers and their dealer networks. This survey allows dealers to give honest, anonymous feedback which in turn provides us with discussion topics when we visit manufacturers each year.”

Results of the Dealer-Manufacturer Relations Survey are used to determined recipients of EDA’s annual Dealer’s Choice and Gold Level Awards within each of the four manufacturer categories. The 2019 award recipients will be announced shortly. Please direct any questions about the Dealer-Manufacturer Relations Survey and Report to Joe Dykes at Surveys@equipmentdealer.org.
