According to a report from KWWL, John Deere has announced it will indefinitely lay off 42 employees at its Waterloo Works facility in Waterloo, Iowa. Jennifer Hartmann, associate director of Strategic Public Relations with John Deere says this is this is part of Deere's push, "to become a leaner, more efficient organization throughout the enterprise, both in the production and salary workforce."
