McHenry County in Illinois has lost its last single-store, family-owned dealership, according to a March 20 report from Shaw Local.

Beard Equipment Company, Inc., a third-generation John Deere Golf and Sports Turf dealership serving customers in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi, has finalized an agreement to acquire South Carolina-based Greenville Turf & Tractor.

Townline Equipment, a family-owned and award-winning Kubota dealership group with five locations in New Hampshire, Vermont and New York, has purchased the Greenville Saw Service Kubota dealership in Greenville, New York. With the acquisition, Townline adds their sixth location and expands its service area into Greene and Ulster counties in New York.

Rick Ford, a well-known name in the automotive industry, has acquired Conroy Tractor, the first equipment dealership added to his portfolio.

Gambles will be transitioning from a turf only location, to an Ag & Turf location effective immediately. 

Currently, Hoefling has 2 locations on the same campus including Hoefling Truck & Tractor, which H&R acquired on October 3, and Hoefling Lawn & Cycle Sales, which H&R plans to acquire later this year.

Florida Coast Equipment announced the acquisition of Growers Equipment Company, the latest of 6 dealer acquisitions over the last year, increasing locations from 4 to 13.
