The company is set to open 75-80 new stores in 2022, including relocating a store this month in Minot, N.D., home of the original Tractor Supply location.

The facility is expected to begin shipping by the end of 2018 and will be approximately 930,500 square-foot in size.

Net sales for the second quarter 2017 increased 8.9% to $2.02 billion from $1.85 billion in the second quarter of 2016. The company opened 14 new Tractor Supply stores in the second quarter.

The newest store is in Brentwood, Calif. The company's goal is to eventually have 2,500 domestic Tractor Supply locations.

Net sales for the second quarter 2016 increased 4.5% compared with the second quarter of 2015. Comparable store sales decreased 0.5% versus a 5.6% increase in the prior year's second quarter.

Despite its name, Tractor Supply Co. (TSCO) doesn’t sell much in the way of agricultural equipment. Unless a rural lifestyle equipment dealer is into selling products for livestock and pets, truck hardware and seasonal products like lawn and garden items, gifts and toys, TSCO isn’t directly competing for customers who want to purchase farm machinery.

In the first quarter, net sales increased 10.2% to $1.47 billion and the company opened 36 new stores and closed three stores.

The new store is in Odessa, Texas. The company opened 114 stores in 2015 and expects to open 115-120 new stores in 2016.
