In its interim report for its second quarter 2023, released July 18, Husqvarna stated that it will be discontinuing handheld production at its Nashville, Ark., factory, which will move "to other facilities within the Group, primarily Sao Carlos in Brazil."

The context of the closure is Husqvarna's transformation toward "the value creation areas of robotic mowers, battery, watering and professional solutions," with "structural changes" being necessary to fund investments and "increase organizational efficiency."

A July 18 report from the Hope Prescott stated production would stop by the end of 2024 and would affect around 700 employees.
