According to a May 2 announcement from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, DR Power Equipment has recalled 57,200 (plus 956 sold in Canada) walk-behind leaf blowers and vacuums and tow-behind leaf vacuums due to a laceration hazard.
DR Power Equipment has received 22 reports of loose pieces being ejected from the units. No injuries have been reported.
The recalled trimmers were sold at independent power equipment stores nationwide and online at drpower.com from September 2014 through January 2024 for between $1,300 and $4,000.
