30 years after the launch of the original Lazer Z, Exmark has unveiled the next generation of its premier gas-powered commercial zero-turn mower, the 2025 Lazer Z X-Series.
Built for landscape professionals that demand the absolute best durability, innovation and cut quality, the redesigned 2025 Lazer Z X-Series takes it to the next level. With more power and configuration options than any other Exmark model, it’s the pinnacle of state-of-the-art commercial mowers.
Exmark Director of Marketing, Jamie Briggs, said the new Lazer Z X-Series proudly carries forward the legacy of cut quality, durability and productivity established by the first Lazer Z in 1995.
“The new Lazer Z X-Series raises the bar for reliability, cut quality and long-term value,” Briggs said. “We listened to the feedback of our customers and worked hard to ensure the new Lazer Z X-Series delivers the efficiency and productivity they need, with innovative features to help them take their mowing business to the next level.”
Choose from 52-, 60-, or 72-inch UltraCut Series 6 side discharge cutting decks, or select the massive 96-inch UltraCut Rear Discharge Flex-Wing cutting deck for maximum productivity. Side-discharge cutting decks feature Exmark’s exclusive Adapt technology, which enables the operator to quickly adjust deck rake without tools, for maximum cut quality in any turf conditions.
2025 Lazer Z X-Series models also increase productivity through increased ground speeds, with up to 11.5 mph forward on models up to 72-inch, and up to 10.5 mph on the 96-inch model. New heavy-duty cast caster wheel forks deliver maximum durability and precise alignment, while the large-diameter airless caster tires provide a smooth ride and long life with zero flat tires.
Choose from a wide range of premium commercial V-twin engines. Options include the Kawasaki FX801V and FX820V (EFI), Kohler Command Pro EFI ECV980, or the 993cc Vanguard BIG BLOCK V-Twin with EFI and the Oil Guard system.
Like all Exmark mowers, Lazer Z X-Series models are quick and easy to maintain, with just four annual grease points, automatic belt tensioners, and sealed maintenance-free spindles. A redesigned seat mount improves access to the front of the engine and hydro drive components, while the rear engine guard is removed with just four bolts for easier service access to the engine.
2025 Lazer Z X-Series models feature a deluxe adjustable suspension seat offering three inches of travel. When combined with Elastomeric Vibration Control (EVC) stretch fabric and patented ISO-mount seat isolation system, the seating system minimizes bumps and vibrations reaching the operator. Plus, standard LED lighting to the front and sides of the mower enables Lazer Z X-Series operators to extend the length of the workday when needed.
