Equipment manufacturer JCB has announced that its new limited edition Teleskid is now available in a military-inspired design that pays tribute to American veterans and their families.
The 74-horsepower VetsAid 3TS-8T Teleskid is an exclusive model featuring a distinctive military-green finish, a custom VetsAid-stitched seat and personalized dog tags. Operators benefit from a side-door entry and JCB’s exclusive single-arm boom, enhancing visibility, safety and access, as well as all-terrain agility. Its broad attachment compatibility allows it to handle buckets, forks, augers, trenchers and grapples across a variety of landscaping, agriculture and construction applications.
Reporting that this teleskid model is more than just commemorative, JCB adds that the compact equipment innovation creates a breakthrough product — the only skid steer in the world with a telescoping boom, giving operators unmatched flexibility, including the following capabilities: lifts up to 13 feet of vertical reach; reaches over 8 feet forward; digs 3 feet below grade; and handles up to 3,695 pounds of operating capacity.
For every unit sold, $1,000 is donated directly to VetsAid, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by rock legend and Gold Star son Joe Walsh. VetsAid funds grassroots organizations that provide essential services to U.S. military veterans transitioning to civilian life. To date, VetsAid has disbursed more than $3.3 million directly to veterans service groups of all sizes on the ground across the United States with proven records that provide myriad types of care for veterans and their families.
JCB is one of the world’s largest privately owned manufacturers of construction, agricultural and defense equipment, with 22 global factories and a presence in more than 150 countries. JCB North America, based in Savannah, Ga., employs more than 1,000 people with veterans representing about 10 per cent of its workforce. The company has started work on its planned $500 million factory in San Antonio, Tex. which was announced in October, 2024.
