ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa., March 1, 2012  — After 64 years of service to the Carlisle area, Peterman Power Equipment starts a new chapter on March 1 by joining the Messick's family of dealerships. The full-line Kubota dealership, located at 225 York Road in Carlisle, becomes the fifth Central Pennsylvania location for Messick's, the family-owned agricultural, construction and lawn and garden equipment dealer group.

The Carlisle location, formerly known as Peterman Farm Equipment, was opened exactly 64-years ago on this date by Raymond Peterman. He started the dealership selling Ferguson tractors in 1948, adding Simplicity lawn equipment in the nineteen-fifties.
