Blount International Inc. (parent Co of SpeeCo, Oregon Chain and Woods Equipment) this week added two new board members while expanding the board by one.

The Portland-based company’s (NYSE: BLT) on Wednesday said Nelda J. Connors, chair and founder of Chicago-based Pine Grove Holdings LLC, has joined its board, replacing the departed R. Eugene Cartledge, who retired in November.

The company’s board also voted to expand to nine members, electing David A. Wilmott, Blount’s president and chief operating officer, into the new seat.

That Blount’s board is expanding isn’t surprising considering the company’s own rapid expansion.

The manufacturer of parts and equipment for markets including agriculture, forestry, lawn and garden has grown its revenue from around $500 million in 2009 to $831.6 million in 2011.
