What began in February 2012 with an inspirational speech at Mahindra USA’s national dealer meeting, is now an uplifting home dedication for combat veteran Shaun Meadows and his family. In an early Memorial Day celebration, Mahindra USA and Operation Finally Home hand Meadows the keys to a new home in Lynville, TN. A short four months ago, Mahindra USA, the number one selling tractor brand in the world based on volume, pledged to donate two dollars for every Mahindra product sold to Operation Finally Home, a non-profit organization that provides custom-made mortgage-free homes to wounded and disabled veterans and the widows of the fallen.

Meadows purchased a Mahindra tractor, based on his research, to clear his land and build a family home.  With the involvement of Mahindra USA, Operation Finally Home, and many others he didn’t have to build the home on his own. This home dedication is special to Mahindra USA because of the unique connection they have with Shaun Meadows. The tractor giant has included retired soldier and Mahindra tractor-owner Shaun Meadows in one of its new television spots, highlighting the unprecedented 98% customer satisfaction with the brand. “Mahindra USA is a great corporate partner for our organization,” said Daniel Vargas, Executive Director of Operation Finally Home. “Our mission to help returning heroes more easily face life back home becomes reality with the generosity of individuals and companies like Mahindra. Since speaking at the Mahindra USA national dealer meeting at the beginning of this year we have come to know that this is a company that truly lives its Rise corporate philosophy which includes giving back to the community.”

“Operation Finally Home and Mahindra USA share a common bond in both philosophy and respect for our nation’s heroes such as Shaun Meadows,” said Cleo Franklin, Vice-President, Marketing and Strategic Planning. “Having Shaun as a loyal customer is an honor but, more importantly, Mahindra is privileged to be a part of the Operation Finally Home team involved in building this new home for the Meadows family.  Mahindra’s guiding philosophy is Accepting No Limits, Alternative Thinking and Driving Positive Change to enable people to Rise – I can think of no better example of this than Shaun.”

The Meadows’s home is also made possible by generous donations from country music stars Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson. The home will be dedicated in memory of Pamela Page, the late wife of United States Air Force Chief Master Sergeant (retired), Stephen Page. Chief Page nominated Meadows to receive the home. The home dedication ceremony began with Meadows sky diving on to his property with Chief Page and the Fastrax Professional Skydiving team. Also on hand for the dedication was Tennessee State Representative Eddie Bass.

Mahindra USA, in partnership with the more than 600 Mahindra Tractor dealers, partners and staff, raised more than $100,000 for Operation Finally Home when it announced its support for Operation Finally Home in February 2012, at its national dealers meeting. Following an emotional presentation by Operation Finally Home Executive Director Daniel Vargas TSgt, USAF (retired) and Lieutenant General Rick Lynch, former Commanding General III Armored Corps at Fort Hood, Mahindra dealer regions demonstrated the true Mahindra culture of ‘Rise’ by spontaneously making group pledges.

Mahindra became the #1 selling tractor brand in the world in 2010 by providing consumers with value-packed, high-quality tractors.  Mahindra is the only tractor manufacturer in the world to win both the Deming Application Prize and the coveted Japan Quality Medal for excellence in Total Quality Management, awarded by the Deming Prize Committee care of the Union of Japanese Scientists.
