Custom Products of Litchfield Inc. has named industry-veteran Scott Maki to the newly created position of Vice President of Development. In this role, Maki is responsible for leading the company’s product development teams including, engineering and prototyping, as well as business development.

“We are pleased to welcome Scott back to Custom Products and have him join our management team in such a key role,” says Randy Reinke, president, Custom Products. “We have always been a nimble organization with a strong presence in the vertical markets. As the economy continues to improve, our company has grown rapidly, and we were looking for someone of Scott’s caliber to take us to the next level. Adding Scott to our team, we now have all the key elements in place to successfully increase market share and build on our solid foundation as a strong product and service provider to our customers. We have confidence that he will help us continue the progress we are making to improve our business.”

In the leadership position of Vice President of Development, Maki oversees all development activity, as well as influence and establish the strategic direction of the company. He acts as a cross-functional liaison with other teams within the company to ensure Custom Products continues to strengthen as an organization.

“I’m excited to rejoin Custom Products at such a critical time in the company’s history,” says Maki. “With the company’s size and its aspirations of growth, my role will play an integral part in establishing what Custom Products needs to do as a company in the future. I look forward to working on both new business opportunities and the product development process.”

Maki holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. His first job out of college was as an engineer at Custom Products. Following this role, he went on to hold an Engineering Manager position at Crenlo, LLC, and a Senior Vice President position at McLaughlin Body Company. Maki rejoined Custom Products in September as Vice President of Development and is based in the company’s headquarters in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
