Louisville, Ky. – Gravely introduces the ZT XL, an all-new zero-turn lawn mower bred from commercial DNA but designed for the prosumer and entry-level commercial cutter markets. The ZT XL is crafted with the same durability and quality as the Gravely ZT X, but includes several upgraded features that are needed by entry-level landscape contractors who cut grass all day, every day. With fabricated deck designs in either 42-inch or 52-inch sizes, the ZT XL incorporates enhancements that improve cut precision, durability and productivity.

The newly designed, 10-gauge fabricated cutting deck is similar to the decks found on Gravely’s commercial line of zero-turns, and was designed to deliver an un-matched quality of cut. The 4-1/2-inch deep design delivers adequate airflow to handle challenging mowing conditions, while the wide discharge opening allows for even dispersal of clipping without clumping. In addition, the constant tension deck belt system increases the life of the belt and reduces the need for adjustments.

The fully welded, tubular steel frame sets the ZT XL apart from its competition. While other residential mowers incorporate multi-piece frames, the ZT XL’s frame is welded into a single piece, providing a strong, stable backbone.

The ZT XL was built for superior productivity, with ground speeds of up to 7 mph; larger 20-inch tires and 11-inch front caster wheels for better traction, control and handling; and an easily-serviceable HydroGear ZT-2800 transmission to provide a smoother ride, longer life and less downtime.

In addition to the machine’s increased efficiency, operator comfort was also top-of-mind when building the ZT XL. For operators who are cutting for long periods of time, a new plush high back seat with padded arm rests was added. Integrating features that are easy to use, such as the dial height of cut selection, foot-operated deck lift, cup holder, storage compartments and advanced vibration isolation help operators complete the job quicker.

All models are available with either a Kawasaki FR V-Twin engine or a KOHLER 7000 Series Engine with Smart-Choke technology and Pro Filtration package. A full slate of accessories is also available for the ZT XL, including a powered two-bucket bagger, mulching kit, LED headlight kit and full range of tow-behind accessories.

“When we designed the ZT XL, we wanted to create a mower with advanced features for true prosumers and entry-level landscape contractors, so we looked at the ZT X and took it a step further,” said Ariens Company Product Marketing Manager Jeralyn Braun. “The ZT XL has enhanced features like larger tires, an upgraded transmission and a more comfortable seat. With the machine’s fully-fabricated deck and welded, tubular steel frame, it’s built with Gravely toughness to tackle any job, no matter how big.”

Models start at a list price of $4,635 USD. The unit comes backed with a three-year limited consumer warranty and also includes a five-year limited warranty on the frame and deck shell. For more information, visit www.gravely.com
