There is a fight brewing over the tools used to clear lawn debris. On January 1, 2023, gas-powered leaf blowers will be banned on Sanibel Island, Fla. Landscapers say the new rule will cost them time and money, especially during hurricane season. They say if the power goes out when they are working, it will be hard to find places to charge electric leaf blowers.
About this time 15 years ago, we were putting the finishing touches on the first ever print issue of Rural Lifestyle Dealer. The story highlighted the importance of treating your rural lifestyle customers like they are just as important as your farm customers (because they are).
