According to a Nov. 17 report from The Virginia Pilot, Stihl plans to invest $49 million into its Virginia Beach, Va., facility, where it manufacturers chainsaw guide bars. Stihl will receive a $500,000 incentive grant from the city to help with the expansion.
The investment will expand the facility from 60,000 to 86,000 square feet and will allow Stihl to install a third guide bar production line.
