Altoz, manufacturers of high-performance commercial zero-turn mowers, announced today a collaboration with Briggs & Stratton® Commercial Power (Briggs & Stratton Corporation NYSE: BGG), the leading provider of commercial power solutions, that will see the all-new 810cc Vanguard™ engine aboard Altoz’s XP Z model mower.

The Altoz line of precision mowers and the 810cc Vanguard engine made their industry debuts last fall, each being recognized for their attention to detail, craftsmanship and quality. Available in 54- or 61-inch deck models, the Altoz XP Z model is part of its expansive product lineup that includes innovative zero-turn (ZTR) mowers engineered to meet the growing demands of discerning homeowners and professionals throughout the lawn care industry. The XP Z features the Aero Deck High Output System to ensure a precision cut, SmarTrac Monitoring System to keep the operator informed, an ergonomic and adjustable suspension seat for a smooth ride, and thanks to the Vanguard V-Twin engine, a durable and high-performing power plant to help make quick work in tough conditions.

“The engineering teams at Altoz and Briggs & Stratton worked extensively on this project to bring together the innovative technology found in the Vanguard engine and our XP Z model mower,” said Dennis Brazier, Altoz Chief Executive Officer. “Through this combined effort, we have further enhanced the performance and design of our XP Z mower, while providing users with a one-of-a-kind experience and setting the bar for the competition.”

Just as Altoz continues to solidify its position as the pinnacle of performance in the lawn care industry, so too has the Vanguard family of engines from Briggs & Stratton. The distinctive 810cc V-Twin power plant produces 26 gross horsepower while also increasing torque. The result is an engine that is ready to power through even the toughest conditions with efficiency and dependability.

“With our familiarity with the ZTR market and feedback we’ve received from landscape contractors throughout the country, we knew we needed to produce a high performing yet durable engine to pair with the Altoz XP Z,” said Bill Schaut, Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power Sales Manager. “What we’ve developed with the 810cc Vanguard engine is truly an industry leader and the ideal complement to the stunning new design and functionality of the XP Z mower.”

All Altoz ZTRs, as well as Briggs & Stratton Commercial Turf and Vanguard’s 810cc V-twin engines, are proudly designed by a team of dedicated engineers and manufactured right here in the U.S.
