According to a notice on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website, about 39,000 John Deere ZTrak Zero Turn Mowers with Kawasaki Engines (in addition, about 2,500 in Canada) have been recalled because the voltage regulator inside the mower’s engine can fail while in use or while the product is being stored.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that STIHL has received more than 100 reports of pinched or leaking fuel lines, however, no fires, property damage or injuries have been reported.
The recall involves John Deere models Z445, Z645, Z655, and Z665 zero-turn mowers with serial numbers beginning with 1GXZ, manufactured from Aug. 10-Sept. 9, 2015.
