Kubota Industrial Equipment Corporation will build a new plant to manufacture work equipment to install on tractors to address the rapidly increasing demand in North America.

According to a report from Fox 28, Briggs & Stratton is looking to fill almost 50 open positions at its manufacturing facility in Statesboro, Ga.

The three-story office building of approximately 125,000 sq. ft., plus a 68,000 sq. ft. research and development facility, will place Kubota's leadership and professional staff closer to Kubota's major markets and its manufacturing, assembly, and distribution facilities in Georgia and Kansas.

Kubota Corporation today announced the grand opening of its new $73 million manufacturing facility at Kubota Industrial Equipment (KIE) in Jefferson, Ga. The 522,000-square-foot plant on the 88-acre site recently began production of Kubota's 30- to 50-horsepower compact tractor models. The grand opening event was co-sponsored by Kubota Tractor Corporation, the U.S. marketer and distributor of Kubota tractors and equipment.
